I would like to present a preview of Fletcher class destroyer model that I have been working on for some time now. The model presented here is of a round bridge version in early configuration and in Measure 12 camouflage. I hope it is close to the USS Fletcher itself as commissioned. My plans are to release at least two versions of the ship, the next one being square bridge configuration with full aa weapons upgrade as of 1943/1944 in Measure 22. A lot of work is still to be done prior to the release of the model so I can not precisely say when this will be done - a couple of months at least.
I have used some photo-etched parts on the test model you can see here - individual railing stanchions, railings, radars and mast ladders by Tom's Modelworks. I have also used some ladders etched by German manufacturer.
